The Ecological Urban Design and Low-Carbon Urban Planning Team is composed of members from the School of Architecture, the Architectural Design and Planning Research Institute Co., Ltd., and the APEC Sustainable Energy Center at Tianjin University. It integrates various disciplines such as urban and rural planning, architecture, environmental science, and covers research areas including urban design, urban-water synergy, low-carbon simulation, and resilient cities. The team's objective is to promote ecological and low-carbon urban and town design and construction while nurturing interdisciplinary research talents capable of addressing climate change and development challenges in the new era. Leveraging multiple platforms such as the "Innovation and Intelligence Introduction Base for Low-Carbon Cities and Architecture in Higher Education," the team has undertaken over ten national and provincial research projects under the National Key Research and Development Program, published more than 400 papers in international conferences and core journals, presented over 30 papers, authored and co-authored more than ten books, and supervised the education of over 100 master's and doctoral students. In the field of urban and rural planning practice, they have overseen the completion of over 200 important projects and received more than 40 national and provincial teaching and design awards.
