Abstract:
Through the Youth Fund research, the applicant found that lighting interference of migratory birds’"reside rhythm" is more common in China compared to a lot of crash in Europe and the United States. The key scientific problems which this kind of accidents involves-the rule of "stimulus quantity of the light-functional response" is the theory foundation of urban ecological lighting. Six earlier researches have been made on the typical species in our country, but the job is sustainable. With the pressures of the “new needs” of ecological urbanization in the future, this kind of basic research in our country is extremely urgent.
"Urban area and wetland" (ecological ecotone) in Tianjin, the key transit nodes of international "Asia-Australia" footpath, is chosen as the research area. In view of the ecological security problems caused by lighting pollution, 15~20 kind typical dominant species will be researched through the light interference experiments. In these experiments, the characteristics of key functional characterization such as the footprint vector, behavior spectrum, chirping spectrum will be counted and analyzed through the Non-contact behavior observation technology to explore the rule of "stimulus quantity of the light-functional response" and set up mathematical model. Also a typical experiment framework and standardization process will be developed in this research. This research will provide theoretical support and method for the whole process of scientific research and practice of Ecological lighting in our country.
