Hao Weiguo is the Deputy Director, Associate Professor, Doctoral, Master Instructor of the Department of Environment Design of the School of Architecture of Tianjin University, and the moderator of Professor Hao Weiguo Studio of the Architectural Design and Planning Research Institute of Tianjin University . He is a member of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, a member of the China Architecture Decoration Association, a member of Landscape Architecture and Beautiful China Construction Committee of Chinese Society For Urban Studies, a member of Small Town and Rural Planning Committee and a member of landscape environment Planning and Design Academic Committee of Tianjin Urban Planning Society, an expert member of the Tianjin Decorative Design Association, and an academic member of the National College Landscape Design Graduation Exhibition. From 2007 to 2009, he was appointed as the deputy director of the Tangshan Urban and Rural Planning Bureau.

Hao received a doctorate in engineering and a master's degree in literature from Tianjin University and a bachelor's degree in literature from Shandong University of Arts. His research interests include: 1. Urban and rural landscape design and protection; 2. Architectural environment design and theory; 3. Public art design and theory. Hao published 32 academic papers, such as Strategy of Traditional Residential Courtyard Pattern Renewal Based on Living Heritage Inheritance - A Case Study of Xijingyu Village in Tianjin, "Stone, Books, and Tree" - The Landscape Design of Container Reading Experience Cabin; published 7 writing materials, such as Painting with Stone: Nature, Culture, Settlement and Renewal of Xijingyu Village, Jizhou, Tianjin, The Public Art as Landscape; participated in a number of national natural and social science fund projects, such as Research on Beijing-Hangzhou ground canal heritage conservation based on the quantitative analysis of spatial structure, Basic Theory Research of Generalized Design. He participated in the completion of a number of planning and design projects, such as Tangshan Jiaotong University Site Cultural Park, Main monument of Tianjin Jixian National Geological Park, Main Gate Area of Tangshan International Horticultural Exposition 2016, Beiyang University Memorial Park, Tangshan Park of The 9th China (Beijing) International Garden Expo, Planning and Design of the Meteorological Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Warning Center of Linyi, etc.; received a number of professional awards, such as Silver Award of China Construction - National Environmental Art Design Exhibition, the Second Prize of Tianjin Excellent Planning and Design , etc.

He recently worked on rural landscape design and conservation research. He has presided over several provincial and ministerial research projects, such as National Social Science Foundation Project Research on the Collaborative Protection Rural Cultural Landscape in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project Building a Beautiful Village-Research on the Protection and Planning of Rural Cultural Landscape in Beijing and Tianjin Region, Tianjin Philosophy and Social Science Research Planning Project Study on the Protection of Cultural Features in Tianjin New Rural Landscape Planning and Construction, Tianjin University Independent Innovation Fund Project Study on rural landscape planning integrating cities and villages; published several related academic papers, such as Carved Patterns Job - Discussion of Tianjin Brick Carving Art Value and Application, Study on the Continuing Ways of Cultural Features in Tianjin Rural Landscape Protection Planning.
