Wang Wei is a Professor of architecture at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. His main research fields are history of architecture, design of architecture, and gardening history and art.
For many years Dr Wei has taught undergraduate students on the history of foreign architecture, surveying and drawing of Chinese ancient architecture, and design of architecture. Through his course he attaches the importance of the relationship between historical styles, form and contemporary understanding of architecture, cultural analysis, and the ability of scheme drawing expression and analysis. He also gives a seminar course on cultural comparison between Chinese and western architecture for postgraduate students.
Dr Wei, who holds a doctoral degree in Engineering, has also written books and has had some of his work translated and also as theses submissions.
