Zhang Xiaopeng is an Assistant Professor of Art, an researcher of the Accessible Design Institute at School of Architecture, Tianjin University. Her main research fields are cultural heritage, accessible design, and age-friendly plan & design. Her seminar course 'Design Technology Basis' introduces the theories and engineering technologies of environmental design. Her recent research projects are on the accessible design in historical buildings. She had also done projects on design strategies for accessible signs.
Zhang Xiaopeng hold the professional Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Environmental Design from Tianjin University and the Doctor of Engineering from Polytechnic University of Turin.
