Brief introduction
Peng Liang is the associate researcher of the School of Architecture, Tianjin University.She received Ph. D degree of Development Geography from Paris University (Université Paris Cité), MSocSc speciality Cultural Landscape from Jean Monnet University (France), Federico II University (Italy), Stuttgart University (Germany) under the European Erasmus Mundus scholarships program, M.E-Landscape Architecture from Tongji University and BAg from Shenyang Agricultural University.She was honored the fellowships of France-Stanford Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in 2013 and her Ph.D thesis is a finalist for the 2021 French Local Authorities Thesis Award (GRALE).
She has worked at the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and Michel Desvigne Paysagiste in Paris. She is member of ICOMOS France and serves as the member of the editorial board of the journal “Traditional Chinese Architecture and Gardens”, she is also a Committee Member of Cultural Landscape and Committee of Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture. Her research field mainly focus on the cultural heritage, cultural landscape and urban planning policy. She has published an article referring specially to the conservation and management of the world heritage cultural landscape of the Loire Valley of France and several other academic papers, also her translation work (French-Chinese) "Architectures en Chine Aujourd’hui – Démarches écoresponsables" (Françoise Ged, Héloïse Le Carrer) is to be published at the end of 2022.
