Teaching areas: Transportation Planning, Urban planning and design
Teng Suhong is an Urban Planning Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. Her main research field is urban planning and urban design and transportation planning. She teaches the studio of architecture foundation, which is a significant class for the freshmen. Her seminar course ‘Urban Transportation and Road System Planning’ introduces the theories and cases of the urban transportation issues. Her recent research projects focus on the integration of urban planning and transportation planning, specifically the rail transportation system with the parametric research methods and tools to optimize urban layout and enhance the efficiency of the transportation system.
Teng Suhong holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Urban planning and a Doctor of Engineering degree from Tianjin University. She was a visiting scholar at two academic institutions; Concordia University in 2004 for a period of six months and Texas A&M University for a period of 12 months in 2014.
