Yan Jianwei is a Professor of Architecture, Doctoral Supervisor and former Associate Dean of the Department of Architecture at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. She is also currently the Director of the Architectural department of Tianjin University Renai College. Her main research field is transportation architecture and planning of transit station areas, cultural and educational architecture, residential building and environment design, as well as architecture in city concession areas. Her recent research focuses on the green building technology of railway stations in alpine regions and the cultural transmission of urban subway station areas in the new media era.
Yan Jianwei obtained both Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Architecture from Tianjin University. She is also an extensively experienced architect and planner, and has also consulted for various planning institutes in China. Her design works and publications have won national and provincial awards in China.
