Professor Sheng Haitao graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Tianjin University in 1989. His research interests include architectural design methods and practices, research and engineering practice in green building. He has presided over the design of many significant projects such as the China Water Conservancy Museum and Tianjin Liberation South Road Community Cultural and Sports Center Design (low carbon zero energy building). He has won multiple national, provincial and ministerial awards including the China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award, the National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Industry Award, the “Haihe Cup” Tianjin Excellent Survey and Design Award, and the Ministry of Education Excellent Engineering Design Award. Among his achievements is The "Kan'er Well Story" competition, which guides students, being awarded the first prize in the OTIS "Urban Residence" International College Student Design Competition.
