Li Wei is an Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. Her main research field is Livability in spatial experience and environment-behavior of Architecture and urban . Especially for specific groups of people: the aged and children. The livability of Architecture and urban usually prefers two aspects: physiological livability and psychological livability. Her research interests lie in the area of the psychological and environment-behavior livability in Architecture and urban. Her research aims to find: (i) problems and contradictions in the livability of existing Architecture and urban; (ii) approaches to solve the problem; (iii) Architects’ standpoint and countermeasure, based on theoretical analysis and practice investigation for livability. She is a member of EBRA(Environment and Behavior Research Association)in China. She also has an interest in the method and theory of Architecture and urban design and practice.
Dr Wei holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture from The Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) as well as a Doctor of Engineering degree from Tianjin University. She has also studied at Texas A&M University as a visiting scholar for a period of 12 months during 2012-2013.
