Dr. GAO Feng is a professor in architecture department of School of Architecture, Tianjin University. He also serves as the vice director of the campus infrastructure and planning office, Tianjin university. Meanwhile, He holds a series of academic positions, including Member of Shenzhen Education Architectural Design Expert Committee, Member of China Enginneer and Consulting Assocation and China Green Building Council, Vice Director of Institute of Engineering Management Tianjin etc.
Dr. GAO Feng hold the professional Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Architecture and the Doctor of Engineering from Tianjin University. He had visited the State University of Iowa in 2017 and 2018, and visited Georgia Technology Institute in 2018 as a guest researcher.
His research interests mainly focus on sustainable design and evaluation, the whole life cycles of green campus including design, construction and management, form disciplines of urban planning to project management in various topics, as well as the digital methods in architecture design. In recent 10 years, he won the key program of the Natural Science Foundation and Technoloty Support Programm of China several times , as well as the fundings from provincial level . Gao is the author of Functionalism Architecture and the Practice of the Green Campus—Record of the Design and Construction of the Campus in Tianjin University, edited 5 books and published more than 30 papers in various architectural academic journals.
