Gong Xiaolei is an associate professor of Architecture, School of Architecture, Tianjin University. His main research field is promoting the utilization of construction and demolition(C&D) debris, ecological evaluation of building deconstruction and component reuse. He is teaching the design foundation on freshman studio. His selective class ‘Architecture Introduction’ introduces the theories and basic methods of the architecture, urban and tectonics. His recent research projects are on appropriate sustainable deconstruction strategy and prefab modular design.
Gong Xiaolei hold the professional Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Architecture and the Doctor of Engineering from Tianjin University. He visited Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan in 2017~2018 as a visiting scholar.
