Along with China’s urbanization, the transformation of urban and rural planning has been triggered by the reform of planning system, the application of new technologies and the integration of multiple disciplines. Facing the new normal epidemic situation in 2020, urban and rural planning is responding actively and pursuing innovations.
Correspondingly, School of Architecture, Tianjin University will hold a Master Forum, and invite four UK academicians from the Royal Academy of Sciences, The Royal Academy of Engineering, the British Academy of Sciences and the British Academy of Social Sciences to give cutting-edge lectures and inspiring discussions.

Prof. Cecilia Wong
Fellow of the British Academy of Social Sciences, Professor of Space Planning, City College, University of Manchester, Director of The Laboratory for Space Policy and Analysis, Member of the Royal Planning Society, and Chair of the Building, Environment and Planning Group of the 2021 UK Framework for Excellence in Research. Her research interests include strategic spatial planning, policy monitoring and analysis, urban and regional development, housing and infrastructure planning. She is currently a member of an independent advisory panel on the Evaluation of Local Growth Interventions Framework for UK city-regions and a commissioner of the UK2070 Commission on Regional Inequalities.
