Along with China’s urbanization, the transformation of urban and rural planning has been triggered by the reform of planning system, the application of new technologies and the integration of multiple disciplines. Facing the new normal epidemic situation in 2020, urban and rural planning is responding actively and pursuing innovations.
Correspondingly, School of Architecture, Tianjin University will hold a Master Forum, and invite four UK academicians from the Royal Academy of Sciences, The Royal Academy of Engineering, the British Academy of Sciences and the British Academy of Social Sciences to give cutting-edge lectures and inspiring discussions.

Prof. Michael Batty
Fellow of the Royal Academy of Sciences (FRS), Fellow of the British Academy of Sciences (FBA), Professor of The Bartlett School of Architecture, professor of Bartlett School of Architecture in University College London, and Chairman of the Centre for Advanced Space Analysis (CASA). He has been awarded a CBE. His research interests include urban big data, urban analysis, urban computer modeling, urban science and other frontier fields. The publications Cities and Complexity and The New Science of Cities were awarded the Alonso Prize by the North American Scientific Association.
