Teaching area: UAV-based Information Technology for Architectural Heritages
Li Zhe is an Associate Professor of Architecture as well as the Deputy Director of Key Lab of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of PRC“Information Technology for Inheritance of Architectural & Cultural Heritage”at Tianjin University. His main research field is UAV-based Information Technology for Architectural Heritages. His recent research projects are on the integration of GIS, Space Syntax, 3D data computing with the heritage preservation design process, and the residential strategy and intelligence revelation of traditional villages. He also develops specific UAV platforms for data acquisition of physical environments.
Li Zhe obtained his Bachelor’s Degree at Hebei University of Technology, and holds a Master’s and Doctoral Degree of Engineering from Tianjin University. He studied at ETH Zurich from 2015 to 2016 as an Academic Visitor. During the visit he participated in the Moorea Avatar Project, which is a joint research for cultural & natural heritage documentation and preservation of Moorea island, sponsored by numerous World-renowned universities.
