Guo Juanli is a Building Science lecturer at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. Her main research field is green building, constructional house and housing industrialization and solar building integrated design. Her seminar course ‘Introduction to intelligent building’ introduces the theories and analytical methods of intelligent building. And the course ‘Architectural technology and ecological architectural strategy’ introduces the theories of building applied renewable energy technology, active and passive building energy efficiency technology. Her recent research projects are on the integration of BIM, performance analysis with the whole life cycle of prefabricated building, and the parametric design methods and tools to optimize building performances. Her projects are on the design strategy of integration between enclosure structure components’ energy consumption mechanism and technology in the ultra-low energy consumption fabricated building.
Guo Juanli holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and a Doctor of Engineering degree from Tianjin University. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Minnesota in 2018, where she continued her research topic on passive architectural technology and optimization of architecture design.
