The School of Architecture of Tianjin University is honored to have had many of its students receive awards in international architectural design competitions since the 1980s. Among the many that we could mention, notable achievements in major competitions include the following:
(1) the ACSA Otis design competition (first prize in 1994, first prize in the Asia-Australia region in 1995, second prize in 2000, first prize in 2001);
(2) the ACSA/Dupont design competition (second prize in 2001);
(3) the ACSA/WPC competition (first prize and second prize in 2002);
(4) the Evolo design competition (second prize in 2012);
(5) D3 Housing Tomorrow (first prize in 2016);
(6) the International Velux Award (second prize in 2010, first prize in 2018);
(7) and the UIA HYP Cup (first prizes in 2012, 2016, and 2017).
From 2014 to 2018, our students won nearly 100 international student competition awards, of which nearly 20 were first prizes.
