An excellent work from School of Architecture, Tianjin University Vertical Neighborhood (Prof. Wu Jingzi as instructor, Postgraduate Student Yan Bowen as author) was successfully selected for the 62nd Milan International Furniture Fair and Milan Design Week for its special oriental-styled design aesthetics.This work won the first prize of the 7th Milan Design Week - China University Design Discipline Teachers and Students Outstanding Works Exhibition" and the first prize of Tianjin in 2023. The works selected to be exhibited in Milan were recommended by the organizing committee of the competition from the first prize works of the 5th-7th national competitions in Tianjin, with a total of 5 works, including only 1 work in the environmental space category subject.

Milan International Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile.Milano Italian), recognized as one of the world's three major furniture exhibitions, is known as the world's furniture design and display of the "Oscar" and "Olympic" event. It is also an international exchange and learning platform for teachers and students of art disciplines to show their professional talents and creative level. As one of the important channels connecting art disciplines at home and abroad, it has been successfully held for 7 times so far, and has received more than 220,000 pieces of works from teachers and students of more than 1,000 colleges and universities across the country, among which more than 1,200 pieces of excellent works have been exhibited in Milan, which has a very high reputation at home and abroad.
